In today's newsletter I want to talk about the main areas of focus for SEO in publishing, and how organisations can improve their internal SEO functions.
"With the exception of live articles that use LiveBlogPosting structured data, I think Google will only re-index an already indexed article..."
Hi Barry, we recently implemented LiveBlogPosting structured data to some of our content. Is there a way to check whether Google is reindexing an article and whether the implementation was successful?
Not easily. You can look for the red 'Live' badge on your LiveBlogPosting articles when they're shown in Top Stories and Google News, that is a clear indication Google has accepted the implementation.
The Rich Results test is also useful, it'll let you know if the LiveBlogPosting structured data is valid - but it doesn't tell you if Google accepts your site as a regular live news publisher. Only the red Live badge will give you that guarantee.

Perfect, the Live badge is displayed on our articles. Thank you for your response!
